January 1, 2006, Ellis launched KE Consulting and Marketing Solutions to provide entertainment industry clientele with the connections and resources they need to begin, enhance, expand, and brand their respective organizations. Within the first year of business, Ellis has acquired It's Cool To Be Smart "Single Parent Initiative", Wonder (Produced T.I.'s "What You Know"), S.E.GA Boys, CTE/Def Jam Artist Blood Raw, Grand Hustle Artist Alfamega, Slip N Slide Artist Citty AKA Da Cookieman, Atlanta Hip Hop Film Festival, A-Town Day and Billboard R&B Hip Hop Conference & Awards as clients or projects with many more following. Ellis has received awards and accolades to include "Street Grinder of the Year" by Get'em Magazine in 2006, Atlanta Publicist of the Year in 2006 & 2007 by VP Hittmenn DJ's/VP SlipNSlide Street DJ, Publicist of the Year by Hot Block Magazine in 2008 and was hand selected by the Southern Entertainment Awards committee to receive the Impact Award in January 2008 for her contribution to the Growth & Success of Southern Entertainment. With a tenured human resources background, Ellis is able to adapt to any environment she is placed in and communicate effectively. Whether negotiating contracts with other industry professionals, providing proper media exposure, or planning events, her experience has already proven to be effective. When asked about the goals she has for KE Consulting and Marketing Solutions, Kim says, "I want to get my name to the forefront of the entertainment industry and align myself with other prominent industry professionals so that KE Consulting and Marketing Solutions becomes a familiar name for doing innovative entertainment business."
Effective August 2008, Ellis has put her PR career on the back burner to focus on her new ventures with Street Report Magazine as the Editor-in-Chief and her business partnership with the legendary Wendy Day on In The Know Holdings, LLC where we provide monthly In The Know Webinar/Seminars to knowledge seekers in the Entertainment Industry both on the artistic and business side.
